DUNE PROPHECY: FILM UI
CLIENTS: WARNER BROS, LEGENDARY PICTURES
As Art Director and GFX Lead, I helped shape the visual language of HBO’s Dune: Prophecy at Territory Studio. Our brief was to design and conceptualize the show’s key technological elements, tools that feel both ancient and futuristic, seamlessly woven into the world of the Bene Gesserit. My team and I developed the look and logic behind their DNA-tracking systems, visualizing how the Sisterhood manipulates and archives bloodlines across generations. From early concept explorations to the final on-screen interfaces, we crafted designs that felt authentic to the story’s tone, characters, and world.

ANIRUL
The design of Anirul, the Bene Gesserit system, focused on functionality and believability, visualizing a complex network with purpose. Conceived as a “beautiful brain,” it balanced elegance with logic, using regal color palettes and refined forms grounded in the Dune universe. The result was a layered “library of data” that reflects the Bene Gesserit’s archival nature and manipulation of bloodlines, presenting a vision of digital luxury and quiet power.

EARLY CONCEPTS
Early concepts explored tree-like structures and visualizations of DNA threads. Client feedback guided the refinement process, leading to more structured and grounded representations.
The design evolved to balance regal aesthetics with a blend of familiar and alien qualities. The final Anirul system achieved both functionality and believability, embodying a sense of digital luxury true to the Dune universe.
